WIRE is a full-stack blogging platform: writers create accounts, publish and edit posts from a dashboard, and readers browse, search, and comment. It was my BCA 4th-semester project, split into three repositories — a reading web app, a Node API, and a small CMS.

What it does

  • Accounts and sessions — readers and authors log in to reach their dashboard.
  • Post management — create, read, update, and delete posts from the CMS.
  • Comments — readers leave feedback on posts.
  • Search — find posts by keyword.

The abstract sums up the intent best:

The system will allow users to create, read, update, and delete blog posts through a user-friendly web interface… providing bloggers with a reliable platform to share their content with the world.

Stack

Layer Choice
Frontend React, Tailwind CSS
Backend Node.js, Express.js
Data MySQL, Sequelize ORM
Hosting Vercel (frontend)

Repositories

It is split across three repos: wire (the public reading app), wire-api (the Node/Sequelize/MySQL backend), and WIRED (the authoring CMS).

Known limitations

The demo link is a Vercel deployment from 2023; the repositories are archived and no longer deployed or maintained, so parts of the demo may be offline.
