Short version: no cookies, no ad trackers, no personal profiles.

What is measured

This site keeps first-party, cookie-less analytics. When you load a page it records basic, aggregate-friendly facts:

• the page path, and when it was viewed;
• the referring site and any utm_source tag;
• coarse location derived by Cloudflare at the network edge — country, city and network operator (ASN) — never a precise address;
• device class, browser and operating system, parsed from your user agent;
• clicks, file downloads and how long a page stayed visible, so I know which papers and posts are actually useful.

What is not stored

• No cookies, no localStorage identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
• No raw IP address. The IP is combined with a secret salt and hashed, so repeat visits can be counted without keeping the address itself.
• No names, emails or accounts unless you email me directly.

Do Not Track

If your browser sends Do Not Track, no analytics beacon is sent at all.

Retention

Raw events are rolled into daily totals and deleted after 90 days. The daily aggregates — counts, not identifiers — are kept longer for trend lines.

Your choice

Analytics are privacy-friendly by design, but you can block them with any content blocker, or enable Do Not Track. The site works identically either way.
